Call for Submissions: National Payroll Institute’s 2025 National Conference

Each year the National Payroll Institute’s National Conference attracts hundreds of payroll professionals from across the country. This multi-day, educational and entertaining experience offers payroll professionals and leaders from all levels of business (senior, intermediate, and new recruits) a comprehensive and diverse selection of presentations, keynotes, and networking opportunities.  

Made up of a mix of education sessions and keynote speakers, the National Payroll Institute’s Conference is Canada’s premier payroll event of the year. 

The “Call for Submissions 2025” for our National Conference in beautiful Calgary, Alberta, is now open. This in-person event will take place from June 4 to 6, 2025 at the BMO Centre.

The Institute is looking for presentations on cutting-edge topics, viewed through the lens of payroll. Topic examples (this is not an exhaustive list): 

  • Managing the Payroll function  
  • Payroll best practices 
  • Leadership Mastery 
  • Current and Emerging Technologies 
  • Global Payroll trends and practices 
  • Evolving legislation and regulations 
  • Diversity, equity and inclusion 
  • Interpersonal skill development 
  • Compensation and Benefits 
  • HR trends related to payroll 
  • Wellness topics, and more! 

Where possible, we are looking for highly interactive, hands on, and engaging workshop-style sessions. This can be accomplished in many ways, including the use of group discussions and case studies. 

Session Length: Conference workshops are 60 minutes in length except for double sessions, which are 120 minutes in length.  

Session Size: Group size may range from 30 to 150 participants per session.

The Institute will cover reasonable travel expenses and one night’s hotel accommodation, if required, due to travel distance.
